About Soloke

What Soloke is
Soloke turns a song you are already playing in your browser into karaoke. It takes the singer out of the music, lights your lyrics up as the song moves, and shows you how close your pitch was. It all runs in the browser tab, on your own device.
Karaoke has always been the same trade: the band plays, the singer is missing, you fill the gap. For decades that meant a disc, a machine and a room. Most songs you love never got a karaoke version — they live online with the singer still on them. Soloke takes the singer out. You bring the song and the words. You are the soloist; the song is the orchestra.
The name
Soloke is solo plus oke — the Japanese short form of "orchestra" (オケ) that karaoke is named after. In a concerto the soloist steps out in front and the orchestra plays behind. Soloke does that to any song: it lifts the singer out, leaves the band, and you take the front.
What it does, and what it does not
It does: remove or lower the lead vocal from the tab you choose; change the key; show lyrics you provide, in time with the music; compare your microphone pitch to the melody and score your take.
It does not: download or save songs; upload your audio or your lyrics; record you; host, stream, sell or supply music or lyrics; show or block advertising. Soloke works on audio you are already playing, and it is not a music service.
Your device stays yours
The audio is processed in memory in your browser. It is not uploaded, recorded or kept by us. Lyrics, timings and scores are stored on your device. If you sign in to Pro, we also store your synced practice data — timings, scores, keys, favourites and settings, with the song IDs and titles they belong to — so it follows you to another device. We hold your email, the plan and the devices using it, and never your audio or lyric text. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Who we are
Soloke is made by Education in Field Limited, an independent company in Hong Kong. It is built and supported by a small team, sold in Hong Kong dollars, and priced to be cheap enough to try: free to sing with, and one paid plan — monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime — when you want precise timing, a library and sync across your devices.
We keep our costs low because the hard part (the AI) runs on your computer instead of on our servers, which is also why your music never has to leave it.

Independence
Soloke is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Soloke does not download, copy or redistribute songs, and it does not provide lyrics; when you paste or load lyrics you are responsible for having the right to use them for your own private singing.
The AI models Soloke uses are credited in the third-party notices shipped with the extension and on the Credits page.
