Soloke Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Education in Field Limited, Room 26-37, 5/F, Beverley Commercial Centre, 87-105 Chatham Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong ("we", "us", "Soloke"). They cover the Soloke browser extension, the website at https://soloke.app, and any paid plan (together, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. What Soloke is

Soloke is an independent browser extension that works on music you already play in your own browser. It processes the audio of the tab you choose, on your device, to reduce the lead vocal, shows lyrics that you provide, and compares your microphone pitch to the song's melody. Soloke is not a music service. It does not host, stream, sell or supply songs or lyrics.

Soloke is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.

2. Your account and licence key

Free use needs no account. Paid plans use an email address and a licence key. Keep the key private. You are responsible for use under your key. One key is for one person; we may limit the number of devices or browsers that can use a key at the same time and will say so on the purchase page.

3. Licence to use the software

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension in a browser you control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, practice and learning, subject to these terms. All rights not given are reserved. Parts of the Service are built on open source software and models under their own licences. See the third-party notices shipped with the extension; those licences apply to those parts instead of this section.

4. Content you play, and lyrics you supply

5. What you must not do

You must not: (a) copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, except as the law allows or an open source licence permits; (b) bypass or share licence keys, or tamper with the licence checks or limits; (c) remove or hide advertising, copy protection or access controls of any website, or use Soloke to defeat them; (d) use the Service to infringe anyone's rights or to break the law; (e) interfere with our servers, model hosting or other users, including by automated bulk downloading of models; (f) use the Service to build a competing product or train a model with our data or hosted files, except as an open source licence on those files allows.

6. Free and paid plans

Free. We may limit free features, such as the number of new songs that can use precise lyric timing in a month. The current limits are shown in the extension and on the pricing page. We may change what is free, but we will not take away a paid feature you have already bought for the period you have paid for.

Pro (subscription). Pro is billed monthly or yearly in advance, in the currency shown at checkout. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account, through our payment provider's customer portal, or by emailing support@soloke.app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Lifetime. "Lifetime" means for the lifetime of the Soloke product, not your lifetime and not a guarantee that the product or any platform will always be available. See section 8.

Payment. Payments are handled by our payment providers. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay purchases are sold by Stripe (Managed Payments), which acts as the seller of record, collects any VAT or sales tax, and appears on your statement; Stripe's terms apply to that payment. PayMe for Business is a Hong Kong-only method, in Hong Kong dollars, sold by us directly. We do not see or store your full card details.

Current prices. Monthly HK$38, annual HK$280, lifetime HK$840, in Hong Kong dollars. Other regions show a local price. The plan and price shown at checkout for your purchase is the one that applies to you; we do not change the price of a payment you have already made.

Price changes. We may change prices for new purchases at any time. For subscribers, a change applies at the next renewal after we give at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before then.

Free trials and promotions. If we offer one, the terms are shown at the time of the offer.

7. Refunds

Our Refund Policy at https://soloke.app/refund forms part of these terms and sets out the full details, including how refunds work for each payment method. In summary:

8. Lifetime plan and discontinuation

If we stop offering Soloke, or Soloke is removed or blocked from the Chrome Web Store, YouTube or another platform in a way that stops it working for you, then:

  1. Within 12 months of your purchase: we will refund your lifetime payment in full, on request, within 30 days of the shutdown or block.
  2. After 12 months: no refund is due. We will make reasonable efforts to publish a final version of the extension that keeps Pro features working without our servers, and to tell you how to get it. We cannot promise this where a legal order, a platform rule or a security issue prevents it.
  3. We will give notice by email and on our website where reasonably possible.

Temporary outages and changes to how a website works are not a discontinuation. We will try to restore compatibility, but we do not guarantee that Soloke will work on every website or after every browser or website update.

9. Models and downloads

On first use, the extension downloads AI model files to your device. They may be large (hundreds of megabytes). You are responsible for your data charges and disk space. Model files stay on your device and are used only by the extension.

10. Privacy and refunds

Our Privacy Policy at https://soloke.app/privacy explains what data we handle and forms part of these terms. Our Refund Policy at https://soloke.app/refund also forms part of these terms.

11. Changes to the Service and to these terms

We update the Service from time to time, and may add, change or remove features. We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email (if we have your email) and on our website. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel, and we will refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription period. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept it.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any plan. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, abuse the Service or our systems, commit fraud or chargeback abuse, or if the law requires. If we end your access for no breach by you, we will refund any prepaid, unused amount.

13. Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that separation will remove every part of a vocal, that lyric timing or pitch scores will be accurate for every song or language, or that it will work with every song, device or website. The scores are for fun and practice, not an assessment of musical ability. Nothing here excludes a warranty that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity; and our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and (b) HK$500. Consumer law of your country may give you rights that override this section.

The Service works on third-party websites and may link to third-party sites and use open source components. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

16. Intellectual property

Soloke, the Soloke logo and our other brand features belong to us. Do not use them without written permission, except to refer to the Service accurately. Open source components remain under their own licences. If you think content accessible through the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, write to legal@soloke.app with details so we can look into it.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in another country, you also keep any mandatory rights, and any right to bring a claim in your local courts, under the law of that country.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a sale of the business, with notice to you. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service. A person who is not a party has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce these terms.
